Sometimes, no matter how careful we are, emergencies and accidents happen. In the unlikely event of an emergency during your trip, we’ve put together some emergency information and tips to help.

What to do in an Emergency
In the event of an emergency, dial 911 immediately. Per 911.gov, an emergency is any situation that requires immediate assistance from the police, fire department, or ambulance. Examples include:

If you are unsure whether or not the situation is a true emergency, call 911 and let the operator determine whether you need emergency help. When you call 911, be prepared to give the following information:

  1. The location of the emergency, including the street address
  2. The phone number you are calling from
  3. The nature of the emergency
  4. Details about the emergency, such as:
    • A physical description of the person who may have committed a crime
    • A description of any fire that may be burning
    • A description of injuries or symptoms being experienced by a person having a medical emergency
